Anglesey Agricultural Show 2025: A Celebration of Heritage, Community & Show-Stopping Entertainment

The Anglesey Show returns for another year, promising a spectacular two-day event filled with fun for the whole family. This year’s Show is fronted by President Mr Huw E Roberts, a lifelong contributor to the event who first attended as a young boy alongside his father. Now, decades later, he’s proud to represent a family deeply embedded in the Show – from sheep exhibiting to site maintenance.

“It fills me with pride to see our Sheep Section thriving,” he says. “My whole family plays a part – my daughter helps run it, my sons maintain it, and my wife Anne shows her Poll Dorsets. The Show isn’t just an event – it’s a way of life.”

Mr Roberts’ story is one of many that reflect the Show’s unique blend of continuity and evolution – from young handlers shaping their future in agriculture, to seasoned exhibitors returning with champion stock.

Chairman Mr Gareth P Jones shares a similar story of deep-rooted connection. A third-generation Chairman from a local farming family, he recalls childhood memories of posting up cattle shed name tags and vegetable animal contests in the produce tent.

“This Show has shaped my life,” says Mr Jones. “Now I get to help shape its future.”

Under his leadership, fresh energy continues to breathe life into tradition. Recent additions like the revamped ‘Y Cowt’ entertainment zone, the fun Battle of the Bales competition, and an ever-growing Members’ Tent offer something for everyone.

In a major attraction for 2025, adrenaline takes centre stage as Paul Hannam’s Quad Bike Stunt Show hits the Main Ring. With over 25 years’ experience and daredevil stunts including high jumps over tractors and cars, Hannam and rising star Shaun Saturley promise edge-of-your-seat excitement for all ages. Expect:
