Competitors will be required to submit an entry form by March 22nd. Each contestant will then be allocated a time slot for their interview on April 5th 2017.

The Ambassador competition is open to competitors over 18 years old, and must be Anglesey residents. The competition will be judged on knowledge and personality, knowledge of the Anglesey Agricultural Society and Show is desirable to fulfil the role successfully.

The Ambassador will be required to attend the Anglesey Show, and be given the opportunity to visit all sections. In addition to this the Ambassador will be a guest at the Presidents Dinner, and be present during the Grand Parade on both days. The Ambassador will be given the opportunity to represent the Society at other Shows during the year.

The Anglesey Agricultural Society hope by offering a full itinerary that the Ambassador will have an enjoyable year that will give them an opportunity to broaden their understanding of the Society and the show.

Nia Medi Williams, Anglesey Agricultural Society Council Chair said “We are very happy that the Junior Panel decided to re vamp the Anglesey Agricultural Society Ambassador Competition, it’s vital for the Society that the young members take an active role in developing the Show and the Society.”

Gwenno Evans, 2016 Ambassador said “It was an honour to be nominated the Anglesey Show Ambassador for 2016-17. I thoroughly enjoyed my year as Ambassador, especially both Show days. It is a great idea to host the competition earlier in the year, as it will give the Ambassador the opportunity to have a detailed itinerary and support the lead up to the Show. I wish the next Ambassador the best of luck during the year.”
